Oils -
Almond Oil - A nutritious light oil high in essential fatty acids. It is one of the most commonly used oils in skin care products. It is readily absorbed by the skin. It is lubricating, high in Vitamin E, reduces inflammation and is known for its ability to soften, soothe and helps skin to retain moisture.
Apricot Kernel Oil - A light oil high in essential fatty acids and Vitamin A that softens the skin. Unrefined apricot oil has a beautiful fruity scent, almost cherry like and is a rich golden color. The highly refined oil has no scent and is pale yellow. Great for sensitive, delicate, dehydrated and mature skin.
Avocado Oil - A very rich oil containing Vitamins A, B1, B2, C, D, and E, lecithin, squalene and fatty acids. Avocado oil is nourishing, hydrating, moisturizing and skin softening. The lightly refined avocado oil is dark green; the highly refined oil is pale yellow. Use for sensitive skin, dry and mature skin, problem skin such as psoriasis and eczema.
Castor Oil - A thick and stickier oil that is soothing, cleansing and provides protection for the skin. The oil is slow for the skin to absorb.
Coconut Oil - Softening, an emollient, cleansing, soothing, protects the skin with a thin film, use for stretch marks, after sun oil, reviving the skin.
Grapeseed Oil - A light oil with non-allergenic properties, non-greasy and easily absorbed by the skin. Use for sensitive, oily skin and teenagers.
Hemp Seed Oil - Rich in fatty acids and proteins, easily absorbed into the skin, emollient, softens skin, anti-inflammatory, one of the most nutritious oils, healing and regenerative, Use for all skin types especially dry skin and eczema.
Jojoba Oil - This is not an oil but a liquid plant wax closest to human sebum (the oil our skin naturally produces to help protect it). Easily absorbed by the skin and rich in Vitamin E. It is skin softening, a humectant, anti-inflammatory, soothing, does not block pores, nourishing, moisturizing and few have a reaction to it. Jojoba contains some natural sun protection (approx. SPF-4). Use for all skin types especially oily, dry, sensitive, inflamed, eczema, mature, acne skin.
Macadamia Nut Oil - Very close to our own sebum, easily absorbed by the skin, rich in fatty acids, cleansing, emollient, softening, rejuvenating, regenerative, revitalizing, protective. Use as a cleansing oil and for all skin types especially mature, dry, sensitive skin, irritations, healing scars, sunburns, minor wounds
Meadowfoam Seed Oil - An amazing oil, moisturizing, a humectant, helps to reduce wrinkles, rejuvenating for skin, a nice and smooth feel-not greasy.
Olive Oil - Olive oil is a rich and heavier oil, high in essential fatty acids, vitamins and minerals. It is healing, soothing, softening, lubricating, conditioning, restorative, mild, moisturizing and nourishing and cleansing.
Safflower Oil - A light oil easily absorbed by the skin high in Oleic acids. Highly moisturizing and skin softening. Good for all skin types especially oily skin, eczema
Sunflower Oil - An oil wealthy in Oleic acids with high amounts of Vitamins A, D, and E. Deeply nourishing, conditioning and is easily absorbed by the skin. Use for dry, aged, and damaged skin.
Walnut Oil - Walnut oil is great for fighting wrinkles, helps fight fungal infections, good antioxidant, and helps fight aging really well. It is extremely good for your skin.
Wheat Germ Oil - Heavy oil, an excellent regenerative oil for rough skin and to help reduce wrinkles, emollient, soothing, contains many vitamins- B1, B2, B3, B6, high in Vitamins E, A, D, proteins, minerals, squalene. Use for all skin types, especially dry, mature, inflamed, normal skin, psoriasis, eczema, an antioxidant, use in place of Vitamin E oil, use less than 10% in a recipe.
